Writing the “About” Page

Many bloggers who first started a blog will ignore the importance of the “About” page. I’ve came across some Wordpress blogs with a link to the “About” page, however it is left unmodified with the default message such as:

This is an example of a WordPress page, you could edit this to put information about yourself or your site so readers know where you are coming from. You can create as many pages like this one or sub-pages as you like and manage all of your content inside of WordPress.

Many people try to hide their true identity in the blogosphere. But most bloggers who own a niche blog will provide an “About” page to serve as an FAQ section of either their blog or the author themselves. How are you going to write an “About” page? What’s the impact of it? [...more]
