Try it, and even if you’re using Akismet, you’ll notice you don’t have the tons of Akismet spam to go through… if you go through it at all. Eliminate comment spam with wp-spamfree! It's 100% compatible with the Akismet API and even better at blocking spam, but best of all it's open source and it's free regardless of whether you want to make money on your site or how many comments you get. It works great with WordPress.org (and of course Movable Type and TypePad as well), and we'd love to know what you think of it.
